Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Wodonga in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (2,306 females or 22.7%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (2,218 females or 21.8%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,957 females or 19.3%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 6,481 females in total or 63.8% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Regional VIC employed 24.1% in Professionals; 19.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 17.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Wodonga and Regional VIC were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (21.8% compared to 19.2%)
