Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in North Nowra in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (302 females or 23.9%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (301 females or 23.8%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (223 females or 17.6%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 826 females in total or 65.3% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 32.3% in Professionals; 13.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 20.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of North Nowra and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (23.8% compared to 13.3%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (12.4% compared to 9.2%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (23.9% compared to 32.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (8.7% compared to 12.7%)

The number of employed females in North Nowra increased by 82 between 2016 and 2021.
