Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Nowra in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (523 females or 32.7%)
  • Retail Trade (222 females or 13.9%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (198 females or 12.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 943 females in total or 58.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Shoalhaven City employed 25.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.1% in Retail Trade; and 10.7% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Nowra and Shoalhaven City were:
