Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Planning area 4 in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (212 males or 28.6%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (70 males or 9.4%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (67 males or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 349 males in total or 47.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the Milton-Ulladulla Structure Plan area employed 25.2% in Construction; 10.9% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 6.7% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Planning area 4 and the Milton-Ulladulla Structure Plan area were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (28.6% compared to 25.2%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (9.0% compared to 6.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in retail trade (5.9% compared to 10.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in professional, scientific and technical services (1.9% compared to 5.1%)
