Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in North Nowra in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (244 males or 18.5%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (172 males or 13.1%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (119 males or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 535 males in total or 40.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Worrigee employed 15.1% in Construction; 20.9% in Public Administration and Safety; and 5.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of North Nowra and Worrigee were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (18.5% compared to 15.1%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (9.0% compared to 5.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (13.1% compared to 20.9%)
