Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Coastal South in 2021 compared to Worrigee shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 20.1% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 6.6% were one-parent families, compared with 33.2% and 12.8% respectively for Worrigee.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 23.2% compared to 18.3% in Worrigee while the proportion of couples without children was 33.5% compared to 27.0% in Worrigee.
