Analysis of the household/family types in Coastal Mid in 2021 compared to Dubbo Regional Council area shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 16.1% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 6.1% were one-parent families, compared with 26.0% and 11.7% respectively for Dubbo Regional Council area.
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 27.4% compared to 24.9% in Dubbo Regional Council area while the proportion of couples without children was 37.8% compared to 24.7% in Dubbo Regional Council area.
