The number of motor vehicles per household in Sussex Inlet - Cudmirrah and Surrounds quantifies access to private transport and will be influenced by Age Structure and Household Type, which determine the number of adults present; access to Public Transport; distance to shops, services, employment and education; and Household Income. Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Sussex Inlet - Cudmirrah and Surrounds in 2021 compared to Bangalee - Cambewarra - Tapitalee - Badagarang shows that 87.0% of the households owned at least one car, while 5.3% did not, compared with 95.9% and 1.1% respectively in Bangalee - Cambewarra - Tapitalee - Badagarang.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 40.9% of the households owned one car; 31.2% owned two cars; and 14.9% owned three cars or more, compared with 18.3%; 42.0% and 35.6% respectively for Bangalee - Cambewarra - Tapitalee - Badagarang.
