Analysis of the car ownership of the households in West Nowra - South Nowra and Surrounds in 2021 compared to Shoalhaven Heads shows that 91.9% of the households owned at least one car, while 2.4% did not, compared with 89.1% and 4.8% respectively in Shoalhaven Heads.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 29.0% of the households owned one car; 38.7% owned two cars; and 24.2% owned three cars or more, compared with 44.6%; 32.6% and 11.8% respectively for Shoalhaven Heads.
