Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in RDA Darling Downs and South West Region in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (14,841 males or 23.0%)
  • Managers (11,574 males or 17.9%)
  • Labourers (10,130 males or 15.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 36,545 males in total or 56.6% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Regional QLD employed 25.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 14.7% in Managers; and 13.7% in Labourers.
