Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Toowoomba Regional Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (9,705 females or 24.7%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (7,917 females or 20.1%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (7,696 females or 19.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 25,318 females in total or 64.4% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Southern Downs Regional Council area employed 17.6% in Professionals; 17.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 20.0% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
