Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Fairlight in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (723 people or 20.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (386 people or 11.2%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (361 people or 10.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,470 people in total or 42.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Northern Beaches Council area employed 14.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 11.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 7.2% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Fairlight and Northern Beaches Council area were:
