Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Bilgola in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (277 people or 14.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (225 people or 11.9%)
  • Construction (182 people or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 684 people in total or 36.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Northern Beaches Council area employed 14.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 11.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.5% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Bilgola and Northern Beaches Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in information media and telecommunications (4.3% compared to 3.0%)
