Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Altona North in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (599 males or 20.5%)
  • Professionals (571 males or 19.6%)
  • Managers (496 males or 17.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,666 males in total or 57.1% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Newport East employed 15.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 30.1% in Professionals; and 24.0% in Managers.
