Settlement history

Development of the area dates primarily from the 1980s. Rapid growth took place from the late 1980s into the late 1990s. The population more than doubled between 1991 and 2001. Growth slowed considerably between 2001 and 2006 as fewer new dwellings were added to the area, with relative stability in population and dwelling stock between 2006 and 2011.
