Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Altona North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (463 females or 18.1%)
  • Education and Training (327 females or 12.8%)
  • Retail Trade (284 females or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,074 females in total or 41.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Williamstown North - The Rifle Range employed 17.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 17.2% in Education and Training; and 8.0% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Altona North and Williamstown North - The Rifle Range were:
