Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Altona Meadows in 2021 compared to Laverton shows that 89.8% of the households owned at least one car, while 5.6% did not, compared with 79.7% and 10.1% respectively in Laverton.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 37.5% of the households owned one car; 36.4% owned two cars; and 15.9% owned three cars or more, compared with 41.7%; 26.8% and 11.2% respectively for Laverton.
