In 2021, there were 2,960 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Barwon South West Region, compared with 134,286 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Barwon South West Region in 2021, compared to G21 Region, shows that 1.4% used public transport, while 63.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 1.6% and 62.1% respectively in G21 Region.
The major difference in persons between the method of travel to work of Barwon South West Region and G21 Region was:
