Dominant groups

In 2021, there were 144,623 separate houses in the area, 18,729 medium density dwellings, and 1,227 high density dwellings.

Analysis of the types of dwellings in G21 Region in 2021 shows that 87.2% of all dwellings were separate houses; 11.3% were medium density dwellings, and 0.7% were in high density dwellings, compared with 87.4%, 11.4%, and 0.2% in the the Borough of Queenscliffe respectively.

In 2021, a total of 85.7% of the dwellings in G21 Region were occupied on Census night, compared to 57.2% in the Borough of Queenscliffe. The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 14.1%, which is smaller compared to that found in the Borough of Queenscliffe (42.8%).
