Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Langwarrin in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (1,831 males or 29.0%)
  • Manufacturing (738 males or 11.7%)
  • Retail Trade (520 males or 8.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,089 males in total or 49.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Frankston North employed 21.1% in Construction; 14.6% in Manufacturing; and 7.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Langwarrin and Frankston North were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (29.0% compared to 21.1%)
