Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Frankston City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (8,251 males or 23.6%)
  • Manufacturing (4,227 males or 12.1%)
  • Retail Trade (2,956 males or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 15,434 males in total or 44.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 15.2% in Construction; 9.0% in Manufacturing; and 8.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Frankston City and Greater Melbourne were:
