Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Seaford in 2021 compared to Langwarrin shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 24.0% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 13.1% were one-parent families, compared with 36.1% and 11.9% respectively for Langwarrin.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 31.9% compared to 22.1% in Langwarrin while the proportion of couples without children was 21.3% compared to 24.4% in Langwarrin.
