There were more female community and personal service workers in Manoora in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Manoora in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (303 females or 24.8%)
  • Professionals (213 females or 17.4%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (206 females or 16.8%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 722 females in total or 59.0% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Cairns employed 20.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 24.9% in Professionals; and 19.0% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Manoora and Cairns were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Labourers (12.8% compared to 7.4%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (24.8% compared to 20.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (17.4% compared to 24.9%)
