Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Whitfield in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (164 males or 15.8%)
  • Construction (142 males or 13.7%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (88 males or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 394 males in total or 37.9% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Clifton Beach employed 8.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 15.6% in Construction; and 7.2% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Whitfield and Clifton Beach were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (15.8% compared to 8.2%)
