Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Manunda in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (318 people or 16.1%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (262 people or 13.2%)
  • Retail Trade (209 people or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 789 people in total or 39.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Cairns employed 14.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.0% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 10.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Manunda and Cairns were:
