Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Babinda - Rural South in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (226 females or 24.4%)
  • Education and Training (139 females or 15.0%)
  • Retail Trade (89 females or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 454 females in total or 49.1% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Cairns employed 27.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.9% in Education and Training; and 11.0% in Retail Trade.
