Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Edge Hill in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (147 males or 15.2%)
  • Construction (100 males or 10.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (97 males or 10.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 344 males in total or 35.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Kanimbla employed 11.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.2% in Construction; and 9.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Edge Hill and Kanimbla were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (15.2% compared to 11.7%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in education and training (6.4% compared to 4.4%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (9.4% compared to 7.8%)
