Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Woree in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (154 males or 14.7%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (114 males or 10.9%)
  • Retail Trade (100 males or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 368 males in total or 35.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Holloways Beach - Machans Beach employed 18.6% in Construction; 7.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 6.9% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Woree and Holloways Beach - Machans Beach were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (10.9% compared to 7.1%)
