Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Earlville in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (141 males or 15.8%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (90 males or 10.1%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (81 males or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 312 males in total or 35.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Cairns City employed 9.3% in Construction; 22.8% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 11.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Earlville and Cairns City were:
