The size of Manunda's labour force in 2016 was 2,289, of which 728 were employed part-time and 1,111 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Manunda in 2016 compared to Far North Queensland shows that there was a lower proportion in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 86.3% of the labour force was employed, and 13.7% unemployed, compared with 91.7% and 8.3% respectively for Far North Queensland.
