Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Manunda in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- English (1,480 people or 28.5%)
- Australian (1,248 people or 24.1%)
- Australian Aboriginal (590 people or 11.4%)
- Torres Strait Islander (479 people or 9.2%)
- Irish (476 people or 9.2%)

The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Manunda and Trinity Beach were:
