Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rural North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (164 people or 15.5%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (148 people or 14.0%)
- Construction (132 people or 12.5%)
In combination, these three industries employed 444 people in total or 42.0% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Bega Valley Shire employed 16.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 6.6% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 10.2% in Construction.
