In 2021, there were 4,094 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Randwick City, compared with 21,192 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Randwick City in 2021, compared to SSROC region, shows that 5.9% used public transport, while 29.3% used a private vehicle, compared with 7.4% and 30.1% respectively in SSROC region.
The major differences in persons between the method of travel to work of Randwick City and SSROC region were:
- A larger percentage of persons who worked at home (45.2% compared to 42.7%)
- A larger percentage of persons who travelled by bus (4.3% compared to 1.8%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who travelled by train (1.1% compared to 5.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who did not go to work (11.6% compared to 13.2%)
