Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Coombabah in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (670 people or 16.4%)
  • Construction (441 people or 10.8%)
  • Retail Trade (423 people or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,534 people in total or 37.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Gold Coast City employed 15.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.4% in Construction; and 10.4% in Retail Trade.
