Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rural Balance in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Public Administration and Safety (280 people or 34.7%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (77 people or 9.5%)
- Construction (75 people or 9.3%)
In combination, these three industries employed 432 people in total or 53.5% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, the City of Wodonga employed 11.6% in Public Administration and Safety; 1.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 9.9% in Construction.
