Analysis of the household/family types in South West Tweed - Uki in 2021 compared to Tweed Shire shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 18.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.6% were one-parent families, compared with 23.0% and 11.1% respectively for Tweed Shire.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 22.7% compared to 26.6% in Tweed Shire while the proportion of couples without children was 24.4% compared to 27.5% in Tweed Shire.
