Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in South West Queensland ROC in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Managers (2,648 people or 22.7%)
  • Labourers (1,744 people or 14.9%)
  • Professionals (1,494 people or 12.8%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 5,886 people in total or 50.4% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region employed 14.6% in Managers; 13.1% in Labourers; and 17.0% in Professionals.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of South West Queensland ROC and the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region were:
