Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Parramatta CBD in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (3,996 people or 47.9%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (883 people or 10.6%)
  • Managers (874 people or 10.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 5,753 people in total or 68.9% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Western Sydney Region employed 23.7% in Professionals; 14.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 12.2% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Parramatta CBD and Greater Western Sydney Region were:
