Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Westmead in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (816 females or 44.2%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (292 females or 15.8%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (225 females or 12.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,333 females in total or 72.1% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, New South Wales employed 29.5% in Professionals; 20.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 15.4% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Westmead and New South Wales were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (44.2% compared to 29.5%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (6.3% compared to 12.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (15.8% compared to 20.1%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (12.2% compared to 15.4%)

The number of employed females in Westmead increased by 155 between 2016 and 2021.
The largest change in the occupations of female residents between 2016 and 2021 in Westmead was for those employed as:
