Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Telopea in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (668 people or 29.8%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (330 people or 14.7%)
- Managers (282 people or 12.6%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,280 people in total or 57.1% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Eastwood employed 37.7% in Professionals; 12.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 14.0% in Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Telopea and Eastwood were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Labourers (7.9% compared to 5.1%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (5.8% compared to 3.0%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (14.7% compared to 12.9%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed as Professionals (29.8% compared to 37.7%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed people in Telopea decreased by 68 between 2016 and 2021.
There were no major differences in Telopea between 2016 and 2021.
