Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in North Rocks in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (684 females or 34.9%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (428 females or 21.8%)
  • Managers (248 females or 12.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,360 females in total or 69.4% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Parramatta employed 39.5% in Professionals; 18.0% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 8.8% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of North Rocks and Parramatta were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (12.7% compared to 8.8%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (21.8% compared to 18.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (34.9% compared to 39.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Labourers (3.7% compared to 5.7%)

The number of employed females in North Rocks increased by 250 between 2016 and 2021.

The largest changes in the occupations of female residents between 2016 and 2021 in North Rocks were for those employed as:
