Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Parramatta in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (22,259 males or 34.1%)
  • Managers (10,372 males or 15.9%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (8,952 males or 13.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 41,583 males in total or 63.6% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Eastwood employed 36.1% in Professionals; 16.6% in Managers; and 13.4% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the City of Parramatta and Eastwood were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (7.7% compared to 5.6%)
