Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Epping in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (6,404 people or 44.4%)
  • Managers (2,027 people or 14.1%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,909 people or 13.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 10,340 people in total or 71.7% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Newington employed 34.5% in Professionals; 21.0% in Managers; and 14.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Epping and Newington were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Professionals (44.4% compared to 34.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons employed as Managers (14.1% compared to 21.0%)
