Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of Nepali speakers in the City of Parramatta in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Parramatta shows that 67.7% were in households that owned at least one car, while 28.9% did not, compared with 87.7% and 7.8% respectively in the total population in the City of Parramatta.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion owned just one car; a smaller proportion owned two cars; and a smaller proportion that owned three cars or more.

Overall, 47.7% of Nepali speakers were in households that owned one car; 16.2% owned two cars; and 3.8% owned three cars or more, compared with 37.6%, 34.6% and 15.5% respectively for the total population in the City of Parramatta.
