Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Eastwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (223 females or 21.6%)
  • Education and Training (123 females or 11.9%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (117 females or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 463 females in total or 44.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Dundas Valley employed 21.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.3% in Education and Training; and 9.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Eastwood and Dundas Valley were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in financial and insurance services (7.5% compared to 5.3%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (11.3% compared to 9.5%)
