Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Parramatta in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (12,691 females or 22.0%)
  • Education and Training (6,932 females or 12.0%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (6,327 females or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 25,950 females in total or 45.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 21.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.6% in Education and Training; and 10.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

There were no major differences between City of Parramatta and Greater Sydney in 2021.
