Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Parramatta in 2021 compared to Constitution Hill shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 27.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 6.4% were one-parent families, compared with 33.4% and 16.0% respectively for Constitution Hill.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 24.4% compared to 21.3% in Constitution Hill while the proportion of couples without children was 23.6% compared to 20.4% in Constitution Hill.
