Dominant groups

Analysis of the share of the female population attending educational institutions in the City of Parramatta in 2021 compared to Parramatta CBD shows that there was a similar proportion attending primary school, a higher proportion attending secondary school, and a lower proportion engaged in tertiary level education.

Overall, 8.0% of the female population were attending primary school, 5.4% of the female population were attending secondary institutions, and 10.2% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 7.7%, 1.9% and 13.0% respectively for Parramatta CBD.

The major differences between the share of the female population attending learning institutions in the City of Parramatta and Parramatta CBD were:

  • A larger percentage of females attending a secondary school (any type) (5.4% compared to 1.9%)
  • A larger percentage of females attending a Government secondary school (3.4% compared to 1.5%)
