Dominant groups
Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings for people aged 35 to 54 years in the City of Parramatta in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney, shows that there was a higher proportion of people aged 35 to 54 years in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a lower proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 37.2% of people aged 35 to 54 years were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 29.2% in 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 24.2% and 42.4% for Greater Sydney respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling people aged 35 to 54 years in the City of Parramatta and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people in 2 bedrooms (31.9% compared to 19.6%)
- A smaller percentage of people in 4 bedrooms (20.1% compared to 29.2%)
