Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Essendon North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (123 males or 14.6%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (91 males or 10.8%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (83 males or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 297 males in total or 35.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Moonee Valley employed 14.6% in Construction; 11.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 7.0% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
